NEW MEMBERS START HERE!

First of all, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to Hetalia Roleplayers. We are so excited to have you here, and we can’t wait to start roleplaying with you and interacting with you OOC (out of character) as well!

Our number one priority is to create an open community of roleplayers who respect each other, and we hope you’ll enjoy making friends here and just having some fun!

On that note, you’re probably wondering how you should go about getting started here. Fortunately, it’s pretty simple!

First, you’ll need to check out our rules, which can be found here: https://hetaliaroleplayers.rpg-board.net/t2-site-rules

Next, you have to make an account. Your username should be the human name of the character you’re playing, followed by the place name in parentheses (i.e. Ivan Braginsky (Russia) ). There is a 25 character limit on your username, which can make it tough to get everything in there, but just do the best you can. We would suggest perhaps using the character’s first name only, or shortening the place name to make it fit.

Every character you make must have their own account. We highly recommend that you use your real email address when making your first account (so you’ll be able to receive notifications), but after that, you can just put in a random fake email when you register accounts for future characters.

You should then put up a profile picture of your character- preferably an anime or cartoon face cast. We also encourage people to personalize their account by filling out the ‘humor,’ ‘location,’ ‘job/hobbies,’ and other sections from the point of view of your character. It’s not required, it’s just for fun. (Note: please don’t put up your real location, just saying ^^’)

Next, you’ll need to fill out the short application, which can be found here: https://hetaliaroleplayers.rpg-board.net/t3-character-application

When you’ve finished, please post it directly in the ‘Introductions’ section. Please do not post it under ‘Claimed Characters’! The admin will move your app to ‘Claimed Characters’ once it’s been checked over. Putting it in the wrong spot isn’t the end of the world, but there’s a chance no one will notice it there, which could delay your grouping.

After that, the admin will put your account in the proper membergroup, and you’ll be all nice and colorful!

You can join the chatbox and start talking to people as soon as you’ve made an account, but you can’t start using a character in roleplays until you’ve posted a completed app.

After admin approval, your character will be put on a list of taken characters so that no one else can try and claim it.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
So I know that a lot of people have their own headcanons for what can and cannot have a representative. Like 'you can't make Antarctica, they don't have enough of a population for a rep to be born. You can't make the Pacific Ocean because it doesn't support human life. You can't make the planet Mercury for the same reason.' Some people even extend that to fandoms, and say that people shouldn't make reps of made-up places in general.

I call that total BS. We're not writing literal history books here, it's freaking roleplay, and you can make a rep of any place you like. (Unless it's like Nazi Germany or something along that vein- I think we'd all have a problem with that). It's just for fun. Please be respectful of the people and cultures your characters may represent, but other than that, go wild!

In my previous admin experience, honestly think I saw just about everything- reps of websites, light and darkness, emotions, bodies of water- and you know what? It was awesome! People made such a vast variety of characters and were so creative, it was honestly pretty stunning!

So make whatever you like- just make it great!
